I may not have seen this video before, but I sure have seen that behavior before. I was a nanny. That was actually exactly how it worked with one of my boys, in between 18 months and two years. He always started a tantrum when his mom left, and all I had to do was walk out of the room. Instantly stopping until he saw me again, he always followed a few times, he'd forget why he was crying and boom, I'd hand him a cheesy goldfish and he'd forget that he'd ever cried at all. The hard part is not cracking up when they turn the crying switch on and off.
